Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of Butler ("Butler"), operated by Lightbyte for Applications. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's consent.
2. The service
Butler is a personal assistant that helps you browse restaurants and order food over WhatsApp or the web app. Restaurants are independent businesses responsible for their food, its quality, and its preparation; we facilitate ordering and delivery.
3. Your account
Accounts are created and verified with your phone number via a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your phone secure and for activity that happens through your account.
4. Orders, payment & prices
Prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP). Payment is currently cash on delivery. When you confirm an order it is sent to the restaurant; the restaurant may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable. Unconfirmed orders may expire automatically.
5. Cancellations, delivery & refunds
Cancellation and delivery outcomes depend on the order and the restaurant's status. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us at [email protected] and we will help resolve it with the restaurant.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including fraud, false orders, abuse, attempts to disrupt the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
7. AI assistant notice
Butler is powered by AI and can occasionally make mistakes. Review your order details before you confirm. Do not rely on Butler for medical or allergen information; check directly with the restaurant if you have any allergy or dietary restriction.
8. Intellectual property
All rights in the Butler brand, the app, and its content are owned by Lightbyte for Applications. They may not be copied or used without permission.
9. Third-party services
Your use also depends on the terms of WhatsApp/Meta, restaurants, and delivery partners. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for food quality or the acts of restaurants or delivery partners. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the value of the order in dispute.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will post the updated version here. Your continued use means you accept the version in effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
