Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's consent.

Butler is a personal assistant for ordering food over WhatsApp or the web app in Cairo and Giza. You tell Butler what you want; it puts your order together from a restaurant that delivers to your address, and once you have paid, our team places the order with the restaurant on your behalf and pays for it. The restaurant is an independent business: it prepares the food and delivers it with its own rider, and it is responsible for the food, its quality, and its preparation.

Accounts are created and verified with your phone number via a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your phone secure and for activity that happens through your account.

All prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP). Your order total = the items at the restaurant's price + the restaurant's delivery fee (passed on at cost, with no mark-up) + the Butler service fee − any discount. The full total, line by line, is shown before you pay.

Payment is online only, by card or any method offered on the secure payment page. There is no cash on delivery, and nobody may ask you for money at the door.

After you pay, our team places your order with the restaurant. If it cannot be placed as ordered (the restaurant is closed, an item is sold out, or a price has changed), we offer you an alternative — we never charge you more without your approval — or refund you in full.

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy at /refund-policy, and delivery by our Delivery Policy at /delivery-policy. Both form part of these terms.

You agree not to misuse the service, including fraud, false orders, abuse, attempts to disrupt the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Butler is powered by AI and can occasionally make mistakes. Review your order details before you confirm. Do not rely on Butler for medical or allergen information; check directly with the restaurant if you have any allergy or dietary restriction.

All rights in the Butler brand, the app, and its content are owned by Lightbyte for Applications. They may not be copied or used without permission.

Your use also depends on the terms of WhatsApp/Meta, our online payment provider, and restaurants. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for food quality or the acts of restaurants or their riders, without prejudice to your rights under our Refund & Cancellation Policy. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the value of the order in dispute.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.

We may update these terms and will post the updated version here. Your continued use means you accept the version in effect.

These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
